Hidden waterfall

I finally got out of Chaing Mai and into the surrounding hills with a friend. We went on an adventure and to our delight, found this beautiful waterfall, a hidden lake and ended up at a small village. Lovely!

Flower Festival parade

The 35th annual Flower Festival was recently held in Chaing Mai with a colourful parade, music and a bounty of fabulous fresh flowers!

Thai Massage with Pichet

This teacher - Pichet Boonthume - is the reason I extended my stay in Chaing Mai. He's incredibly gifted and is teaching me how to learn and unlearn, both which are equally important in my life these days. Each morning we pray and listen to his dharma talks, which always have an important reminder, no matter how many times he repeats himself. He then uses students to demonstrate how to apply unique thai massage techniques by listening to the body and getting out of our minds. He's incredible and I am grateful to have this time to learn from him.

Myanmar visa run

Yet again I had to do a visa run to Myanmar in order to extend my visa. Southeast asia is so small, only 4 hours north of Chiang Mai and you're in another country. I would love to spend more time in Myanmar someday!

Green Curry made by moi in Thai cooking class

I took the most amazing Thai Cooking class at 'A Lot of Thai' in Chiang Mai. I hope I can remember enough to cook like this at home! soooo good!

Poy and Theresa at Massage School

Poy was one of my teachers at Old Medicine Hospital Thai Massage School in Chaing Mai. She's beautiful inside and out!

Mae and I spent New Years together flying from Mumbai to Bangkok

Another lovely connection with a local Thai friend. We met in the Mumbai airport and by the time we flew to Bangkok I met her parents and her boyfriend. I love these moments!
